Our greek wedding
Or - "Haven't you done this before?"
On the 22nd of October, 2022, surrounded by a small group of our closest friends and family, we Tai Tai-ed the knot on a beach in Crete, Greece. We created our personal ceremony based on our traditions and values, and for that reason we wished to keep it small and intimate.
However, Tel Aviv is our home and we couldn't miss the chance to celebrate our marriage with all of you - plus it's a great excuse to invite our friends from across the sea to come visit our beloved city!

Why Crete, you ask? Well aside from the beautiful views, great food and proximity to Tel Aviv, Dyana and Asaf travelled to Crete on their first solo trip together! They were young, in love and spent a fun weekend there making memories that they still talk about! Join us as we make new memories to cherish.
Lights, Camera, Ohayon!
OUR STORY
It's May 2015. Dyana Marie Camera, freshly graduated from ASU, decides to go on a free trip to Israel called Birthright. "A free ticket to Europe!" she thinks to herself as she enlists. "From there I'll go on a full Europe tour and see the world!".
Halfway around the world, Sgt. Asaf Ohayon is Interviewing for a chance to go spend 5 days off base, touring the country with a bunch of American Tourists. This is a much needed treat that his commanding officer decided to offer him. The interview didn't go well, yet to his surprise - he's assigned to a group visiting in June.

Moving on. Its June 5th 2015 and Dyana is waiting with her Birthright Group, YA-606 on Rotschild blvd. in Tel-Aviv. The group had toured northern Israel together for the past 5 days, and now it's time for the Israeli soldeirs to join. It's a hot summer day in Tel-Aviv. Asaf is sweating in his formal uniform as he's walking down Rotschild blvd. towards the loud group of Americans waiting for them. "It's definitely better than being on base" he thinks to himself as he wonders if he made a mistake signing up. After a quick round of names, the group started marching down the Carmel market (shuk).

By this point, the soldiers were allowed to take off their uniform, and Asaf is wearing sandals, shorts and a tank top when he sees her: a loud, gorgeous American walking down Shuk ha Carmel in a long orange dress and wearing oversized sunglasses as if it was Hollywood blvd. Skipping over some questionable water puddles as though they're Celebrity star marks. It takes most of his courage (and then some) to go say hello.
Much to his surprise, she smiles and says hello right back.
...
It's now the 6th of May 2022, and after 3 failed attempts to pop the question, Asaf is sitting in an Uber stuck in heavy Manhattan Traffic. He wonders what the driver thinks is going on as he opens 3 different envelopes he used to hide different parts of the ring, and starts assembling. Dyana is being rushed by Ariella. It's raining and the city is jammed - there's no chance to pass by the hotel room to change like the plan stated. Time to improvise as they walk into a store and leave with a whole new outfit.
The rain doesn't stop - and Dyana doesn't let Asaf finish asking before she screams "YES!" and grabs the ring right out of the freshly assembled box.

"Soft smiles, soft smiles" Dyana reminds herself as she's walking down the aisle. A valiant attempt that held for exactly 2 seconds before the happy tears returned (as you can see in the pictures). Asaf doesn't even try as he's looking at Dyana walking towards him, smiling from ear to ear. By the time she says "I Do!", she's so excited she screams it at the microphone, causing even the Greek representative (#manos) to crack up laughing. Asaf breaks the glass - and it's official!

FINALLY, It's TODAY! And your still reading this - LOL. Maybe you're packing your bags for Israel, maybe you're stuck in Tel-Aviv traffic, or maybe your our parents - because, lets be honest, who else is going to read all this?
ANYWAY, its TODAY! We're so excited for you to visit our city & see some of our favorite places.
Thank you for celebrating with us! We love you!
